Event Details

What does it mean to be a creative individual in the world of music who is a follower of the creative God? It Was Good: Making Music to the Glory of God and It was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God strive to answer that question through a series of essays which offer theoretical and practical insights into music making and artistic expression from a Christian perspective. These books boast a wide range of contributors including Keith Getty, Makoto Fujimura, Charlie Peacock, Tim Keller, Steve Nichols, and more.

At 6pm on October 4th works by artists from It Was Good: Making Art to the Glory of God will be on display in the new Square Halo Gallery. This new art space will be displaying fine art on a regular basis at the Trust Performing Arts Center, located at 37 North Market Street in downtown Lancaster,

In addition to opening the art gallery, The Trust is proud to host a book release/concert October 4th at 7 PM featuring performances by several of the contributors to It Was Good: Making Music to the Glory of Godincluding Diana Bauer, Rob Bigley, Bethany Brooks, Paul Buckley, Ned Bustard, Mark Chambers, Julius Fischer, Joy Ike, Matthew Monticchio, Steve Nichols, Doug Plank, Gregg Strawbridge, and George Yellak.  A book signing will follow the evening concert and light refreshments will be provided.  Tickets are on sale for $5 or $2 for students.  Both books will be available for purchase.
