ISSA-NH November Meeting
Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EST)
Members and guests are welcome to join us on Thursday, November 15th, 6:00 PM at the Manchester City Library auditorium, where our topics will be:
- An update on what's happening at ISSA International, presented by Candy Alexander
- Candy will give us a brief update on what's happening at the International level of ISSA, and how that impacts individual chapters like ours.
- "Application Security Best Practices in a BYOD World", presented by Jan Poczobutt
- Jan's presentation will cover today's workforce, which is more mobile than ever. While tablet deployments and BYOD initiatives enhance productivity and collaboration, the same technologies put the enterprise at great risk. In his presentation, Jan will cover the BYOD movement, review web application security trends and present a recent case study from a large organization that successfully embraced BYOD without sacrificing security.
Candy Alexander was recently re-elected to the ISSA International board of directors and continues her efforts as the Communications Committee Chair. She is a past president of the ISSA New England Chapter and was amongst the original New Hampshire chapter of ISSA members. She also serves on the ISSA Educational Foundation since its formation 10 years ago. Candy currently works as the CISO for Long Term Care Partners, LLC in Portsmouth NH.
Jan Poczobutt is the senior director of WAF and ADC platforms at Barracuda Networks.
As always, we'd like to thank our sponsors:
