Roberta McKee, PhD
Senior Vice President - Global Manufacturing Science and Technology
Roberta joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2004 as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Quality and Compliance. She later assumed responsibilities for regional drug product manufacturing in the US, Puerto Rico, Latin America, China and Japan, as well as supply chain and distribution operations for the Americas region. In addition to her operations responsibilities, she also provided leadership for small molecule and drug product manufacturing technology, packaging technology and device development. Roberta’s current role is leader of Global Manufacturing Science and Technology, Global Engineering, Global Facilities and Energy Services and Operational Excellence for GMS. Prior to joining BMS, Roberta was with Merck and Company, Inc. as Vice President of Vaccine and Sterile Product Quality Operations. She began her career at Merck as a post-doctoral fellow and held a series of roles in bioanalytical development, technical services and quality operations. Roberta holds a B.A. in Chemistry from New Mexico State University and a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Arizona.
The pharmaceutical industry is constantly adapting to regulation, market forces, development and of innovative medicines and cost. This presentation outlines key strategic and operational challenges currently in place, and on the horizon that impact Quality Management, Plant Network, logistics, and delivery of new products to patients.
