Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World

A documentary film from Executive Producers Michael Wolfe and Alex Kronemer, directed by Rob Gardner, and narrated by Academy Award Winning Performer Susan Sarandon

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Fifth Ave and Eighty Second St. - Enter in Museum's Main Entrance

Doors Open at 5:30 pm. Event starts sharply at 6:00 pm

Screening is followed by a tour of the MET's Galleries of the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia

 

 Opening Remarks by Alex Kronemer 

UPF is proud to present its latest documentary film, Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World.  Exploring themes such as the Word, Space, Ornament, Color, and Water, the film takes audiences on a global journey to present the stories behind the masterworks of Islamic Art and Architecture.  Watch the film before the PBS National Broadcast.
