Please join us for our January monthly meeting, which will be held on January 18th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Our guest speaker will be Beth Schowalter from Humana - Security Incident Response Group. The title of Beth's presentation is "Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) and the impacts on Forensics."
The presentation and discussion will focus on Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) and the impacts on Forensics. During the presentation we will provide insight into the EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model), discuss organizational impacts eDiscovery has on a forensics program, take a peek into the industry outlook and briefly discuss risk and auditing impacts on both eDiscovery and Forensics.
Beth Schowalter is a 34 year veteran of the Health Insurance Industry working for Humana located in Louisville Kentucky where she is a Strategic Consultant for Humana’s Security Incident Response Group consisting of the Security Operations Center, Computer Security Incident Response Team and Forensic Security Investigations teams. Beth consults in forensics/investigations and eDiscovery areas for Humana.
Beth co-chaired the cyber security task force Business Roundtable in Washington D.C. focusing on building strategic plans associated with catastrophic disasters which impact the security of our nation and global infrastructure. Beth holds numerous certifications and contributed to publications from the Center for Democracy and Technology.
Beth is currently the Sector Chief for Emergency Services and Board Secretary for IKMA Kentucky InfraGard. She serves on the Advisory Board for Sullivan College for Technology and Design and Guest Lectures at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine providing instruction on Law, Ethics and Investigations along with Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Assessment.
