IREC's 30th birthday is just five days away.

Have you RSVP'd yet?

It's not every day a non-profit celebrates three decades of hard work, of constantly identifying, refining, solving, honing, pushing the boundaries of change, all in the name of clean energy.

Truth is, we couldn't do it without you...the smart, the passionate, who immeasurably enhance the way we see the world.  We love what we do, and we've accomplished a lot.  But as we all know, there's unfinished business, and finite time.

We're hoping you'll join us as we celebrate our collective accomplishments, and as we embark on another 30 years to stoke the fires of creativity and innovation.

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc.

As national administrator of GEARED, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc. (IREC) will work with the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and DOE to build a training and education framework that grows the expertise and preparedness of current and future electric utility sector professionals - specifically to accommodate high penetrations of solar and other distributed technologies. Since 1982, IREC's programs and policies have benefitted energy consumers, policymakers, utilities and the clean energy industry. IRECs work expands consumer access to clean energy; generates information and objective analysis grounded in best practices and standards; and leads programs to build a quality clean energy workforce, including a unique credentialing program for training programs and instructors.
