How are girls portrayed in the media? How does this impact their decisions, behaviors, and sense of self? Join us as we explore these topics and offer some iQ: smartparent advice on how to talk with your children about gender inequity in the media.
Featuring M. Gigi Durham, PhD, author of The Lolita Effect, and professor of journalism and mass communication at the University of Iowa; Rebecca Gaynier, founder of iTwixie.com; and Jennifer Stancil, Executive Director of Educational Partnerships at WQED. Hosted by Dr. Deborah Gilboa, a Board Certified Family Physician, mother of four, and professional parenting speaker and writer.

Due to safety considerations in our studio, children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult.
Seating begins promptly at 6:30pm. The show will tape from 7:00 - 8:00pm.
