Directions & Parking

Ipswich Wind Turbine Site at the Ipswich Transfer Station and Composting Facility.

End of Town Farm Road, Ipswich, MA 01938

The easiest thing to do is take Route 1 (accessible from I-95).

From Route 1, you'll look for Linebrook Road, which will take you to downtown Ipswich.

From Linebrook Road: Once you pass railroad tracks and a large playground on your left, you will come to downtown Ipswich. Take a left, then another immediate left at the Dunkin Donuts to get to High Street/Rt-133/RT-1A.

You will come to Town Farm Road quickly, just past the Dunkin Donuts.

Once you are on Town Farm Road, continue driving all the way down until you reach a dirt access road where the road ends (about a five minute drive)The dirt road is marked with a sign that says "Transfer Site, Ipswich Composting Facility" on your way to the turbine. Drive up the dirt road, past the sign. This is the wind turbine site.

*Note: Because the turbine is located near a composting facility, there is a slight odor in the area. However, this odor is not extremely unpleasant or prevalent.

We will park along the dirt access road. We have over 100 RSVPS, so we recommend carpooling as much as possible! There will be signs and Mass Energy staff to guide you to park.

What's on the schedule?
12:00 PM - Event begins! Lunch & activities.

12:30 PM - Background on the turbine & welcome by hosts, including Q&A.

12:45 PM - Wind turbine tours begin.

1:30 PM - Event ends.
