Independent Documentary Series: BURROUGHS THE MOVIE
- Performing & Visual Arts
- Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Wellfleet MA
This course offering consists of five half-days of workshops designed to create some great photographs with an Iphone.
All you need is an iPhone and lots of enthusiasm. If you're a beginner photographer this will be a chance to learn how to produce something more than "snapshots". If you have more experience in photography, you can discover how capable the little iPhone camera can be.
We will use the Town of Wellfleet as our studio - the coast, the harbour, the sky, the horizons, the sunrises and sunsets, the beautiful architecture, the wonderful Wednesday Farmer's Market, and the people of the town. We will meet every morning and most of our time will be spent taking pictures and digitally editing them.
This course is taught by Dr. Fred Kavalier. You can see some of Fred's iPhone work at www.kavalier.org.uk
What you need: An Apple iPhone (fully charged every morning). Later models (3GS, 4, 4S and 5) have improved cameras. Models 4S and 5 can be used to make panoramic photos, which is a great bonus. Please update your phone with the latest IOS software. Make sure there is at least 1GB of space on the iPhone for photos.
Wellfleet Preservation Hall is the newest community cultural venue on the Outer Cape. Celebrating arts, culture and community year-round.
