iPad Apps for Reading and Publishing Electronic Books (K-12)

Let’s explore the options for reading and publishing electronic text on the iPad. Come and find out about free and paid apps including various ebook readers and interactive books and tools to create and publish student work in digital formats. All students and teachers can now be authors and share content via electronic means. There are amazing opportunities for collaboration and sharing with an authentic audience. Whether you want to create a customized textbook, anthology, journal, or learning log, this workshop is for you! The audience for this workshop is new and experienced iPad users.

Kristine Scharaldi is an experienced teacher and outstanding staff developer in the area of technology integration in K-12 classrooms, who is back to Kean by popular demand.

Kristine’s workshops will be held from 8:30-2:00 in Hutchinson Hall Room 307-308 at the Kean University, Union Campus. A continental breakfast will be served and participants may bring a brown bag lunch.

We strongly encourage registrants to “bring your own device” (BYOD), but some iPads are available, if needed. Note that workshop sessions are limited to 20-25 registrants to allow for ongoing interactive hands-on experiences.
