Event Details

Through participation in a simulated harassment investigation, this workshop provides insight into handling difficult and complex investigations of harassment complaints, including:
  • Whether borderline harassment complaints trigger the duty to investigate
  • Who should investigate when the accused is high-level management
  • Responding to witnesses who make surprise inculpatory statements
  • Controlling demanding, suspicious, or hostile witnesses
  • Handling difficult union and legal representatives
  • Formulating findings of fact when there are credibility problems
  • Properly notifying the complainant and accused of investigation results.

Participants are presented with a specific scenario - including evidence and other documents- and carry out a series of steps in the investigatory process.
