Introductory Mead Making Class

Have you often wondered how to make mead, but were afraid to try? Then, we have an event for you!
Novice meadmakers are invited to participate in an event designed to encourage you to start, experiment, or hone your skills. In preparation for the mead making-sharing event during the 2013 Philadelphia Honey Festival, Wyck Historic House, Garden and Farm invites you to start brewing now! Ultimately you will share the results of your labors during the festival.
If you have no idea where to start but want some direction, take advantage of our “Introductory Mead Making Class”!
Watch as we demonstrate key use of equipment and steps in the mead-making process. As we demonstrate we will cover the following topics:
- Equipment you will need
- Ingredients you will need
- Length of time it takes to make a batch of mead
- Finding the right recipe
- Selecingt the proper yeast
- Bottling your mead
- How long you should wiat before you start drinking the mead
- Getting enough honey
- Who you can contact if you get stuck
