Introduction to Cupping, Gua Sha, & Moxa

This course will cover topics on Cupping, Moxibustion and Guasha. The instructor will explain their history, types, methods, indications as well as Precautions and Contraindications. In addition, this course will also cover management of accidents in case of emergency. There will be 3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of practice.
[This class only counts toward the 500 hrs-level II and 650 hrs-level III Massage Certificate]

About the Instructor: Danling Zhang was educated and trained in both Western and Chinese medicine in China. She was deeply influenced by her family who believed in Chinese medicine. After graduating from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1991, she became a physician acupuncturist and instructor at the university’s affiliated hospital. She finished her two-year residency at Dandong Women’s and Children’s Hospital before she entered her three-year Masters program, doing acupuncture research on thyroid diseases. After receiving her Masters degree in Medicine, she was appointed as an instructor and supervisor at the affiliated hospital of the college. Danling is currently a DAOM Fellow at Five Branches University.

Refund Policy: You may drop a course by written request only (phone calls are not acceptable). Full refund will be granted to dropping the class 1 week prior to the course start date. Dropping the course after this date and up until the first instructional session will receive a 50% refund, with the exception of a 1-day course which is non-refundable. All courses dropped after the first instructional session are non-refundable.
