Emphasizing the Competencies from GTCM, this introductory Workshop will utilize ArcGIS version 10 and is designed for the new user or the user that does not have the comfort zone in switching to version 10.  This hands-on workshop will utilize competencies within the Geospatial Technology Competency Model, http://www.careeronestop.org/competencymodel/pyramid.aspx?geo=Y.  The topics will include:

Map Projections, Cartography, Data Input (digitization, GPS, Data Editing, Management and Conversion), Georeferencing, Basic GIS Analysis (query, measurement, vector overylay), and Introduction to Image Analysis Toolbar.
