About the Course:

This is a great 5 day camp which provides a solid foundation for introductory level skills in the field of Animation and 3D Modeling.

Each day, students will be taught important techniques and concepts followed by supervised lab time.

Note: This camp satisfies a prerequisite for students participating in the Game Design Track. (the Game Design Track prepares students planning to major in Digital Arts and is one of our College Preparation Tracks).

Course Description:

Students in this course learn about various techniques for use in modeling in 3D, texturing, materials, topology, high and low poly modeling, lighting, animation of both organic and mechanical meshes, as well as setting up small animated scenes or sequences.

Other Benefits:

This course is an introduction to Autodesk’s Maya Software, and contains a complete track of classes to help students to move through the entire realm of 3D modeling, animation and even specialization such as designing characters, rigging and animating them, and exploring complex aspects of Computer Generated 3D designs such as advanced material shading.
