Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe Photoshop, the professional digital imaging standard, used by photographers and designers who want to perfect their digital images. Photoshop allows you to create powerful images and designs. This workshop is design to get you up and running with Adobe Photoshop. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading students through important tools and concepts in Photoshop.
Session I: The Basics
▪ Learn Photoshop interface, basics of Photoshop
▪ Selecting and masking
▪ Practice editing documents and using tools like brush and gradient
Session II: Retouching Learn the basics of editing a photograph
▪ Do color correction using adjustment layers
▪ Use clone stamp tool to correct imperfections
▪ Red eye and skin blemish removal with red eye tool and spot healing
▪ Do advanced skin blemish removal with Healing Brush
▪ Under eye bag removal with Patch Tool
Session III: Special Topics
▪ Body toning with Liquify tool
▪ Intro to painting with Photoshop
▪ Effects and Filters
▪ Advanced Masking
This is an introductory course design for first time and beginning Photoshop users. No prior experience with Photoshop is required for this class. All students must be able to bring a laptop (Mac preferred). You will need to have Adobe Photoshop version CS4 or higher already downloaded on this laptop. About the Instructor:
Michele Weisbart is a designer and illustrator. She has been teaching for nearly ten years. She has taught at UCLA Extension School, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and the Art Institute.
