Event Details

Teaching Matters has been officially approved to lead a Teaching Matters Partnership Support Organization  focused on elementary, middle and K-8 schools.

We are holding an invitation only session on April 9th  in the Atrium of the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a select group of school leaders to learn what we believe will be unique about working with the Teaching Matters PSO. (RSVP here)  If you are attending the DOE Core Curriculum Showcase at the Brooklyn Museum, the Gardens are right next door.

We couldn't be more pleased about this opportunity to support schools as a Network. We are really excited to embrace this new and additional chance to provide comprehensive services to schools .But, we also want you to know that we will continue to support schools as a professional development support organization. Schools can continue to work with us in the same way they have for the last 19 years - that won’t change.

Finally, we know that schools will have the opportunity to select their network affiliations for the coming school year and we hope very much that you will consider making Teaching Matters one of your three choices.

Teaching Matters

Teaching Matters is dedicated to increasing teacher effectiveness, one of the most critical factors in student success. Our services transform how educators work together at urban public schools, helping the most effective teachers develop the skills they need to lead their peers and drive school-wide improvement. We also partner with school leadership to create a work environment that equips teachers to succeed in the classroom.

Our mission is to develop and retain great teachers, and measurably increase their ability to give students in urban public schools an excellent education.
