The Asylum's recently upgraded Hot Craft area is ready and waiting for new jewelry students!
This intensive one day class will lead you through all of the steps to create lost wax castings. Students will learn the techniques behind taking a block of wax and transforming it into jewelry.
A variety of tools will be used, from saws and files, to fine sanding, to smooth down the pieces in preparation for the casting process.
By building on the skills introduced in Jewelry I, students will create a wax casting of a piece of jewelry, ready to be cast.
Jewelry I at Artisans Asylum or proof of basic skills by appointment with the instructor. Students must be at least 18 years of age.
