Intro to Social Media Marketing

The key to social media marketing is connecting with people. With so many new tools, platforms, and networks available, it can be tough to navigate without a comprehensive strategy. To be an effective marketer on social media, your brand must create a unique and lasting experience for your audience. How do you introduce your brand to someone online? How do you keep them interested and coming back?
In this 90-minute crash course, students will learn how to facilitate engaging conversation and create interesting content to enhance this experience. This class will be able to help you understand how each platform works by providing best practices, insider tips for brands, and keys to maintaining a large audience. With a mixture of hands-on activities, case studies from past projects, and a goal-setting for the future, students will walk away with the tools they need to move forward with their social media strategy.
About the Instructor:
Kyle Dineen is a Project Manager for Cashmere Agency, a lifestyle communications and marketing firm based in Los Angeles. He has managed successful campaigns for various award winning recording artists, such as Snoop Dogg, Far East Movement, and T-Pain, to build large social media fan bases and become early adopters in the technology space. He has also managed major activations online for brands such as adidas, Colt 45, Red Bull, EA Sports, ProKeds, Skullcandy, and Naver Korea. Through years of experience building creative campaigns that utilize a wide array of social networks, he has extensive knowledge of best practices and unique tricks for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine, and various other platforms.
