Intro to Eventbrite for Managing Library/Literacy Program Enrollment Online (1 day workshop for library/literacy staff/volunteers)
Class rescheduled from Dec 4 due to building construction interference.
This class will introduce participants to Eventbrite, a web-based event organizer, which could be used as a registration & promotion tool for a library program, class, conference, etc. If a library or literacy organization's event does not have a fee, then there is no charge for using this full-featured website.
Students will explore creating and modifying an event page, collecting registration data from prospective attendees, inviting and promoting the event, creating various reports, dealing with waitlists, checking-in attendees, etc.
Kathy Blick O'Donnell, computer lab coordinator at ODL, will teach the class. There is no prerequisite for this class except that the attendee is well versed & comfortable using computers in general.
If your library or literacy organization is 60 miles or more from ODL, a travel stipend of up to $92/night for overnight stay may be available. (Stipend will be based on lodging receipt. If lodging charges are less than $92, the contract will be written for the actual amount, not $92.) Mileage also may be reimbursed at 30 cents/mile if you are paying for your own gas & cannot collect from your library/literacy organization. Stipend contracts will be made out to the library/literacy organization. It will be your responsibility to collect your reimbursement from such organization. No travel stipend contracts will be written until the class has been attended and photocopied proof of overnight stay (if applicable) has been submitted to the Office of Library Development.
