Intro to Crowd Funding:
How to Craft a Campaign for Your Project / Product

October 24, 2013 from 6:00p - 8:00p in Downtown Oakland

Crowd funding can give a boost to your entrepreneurial spirit, increase your visibility, bring ideas to life, and even make the world a better place. But it’s really about so much more.

It’s about connecting. The campaigning process invites people into your story and brings you closer to your community… And building a trusting, supportive community is the foundation of success.

In this workshop you will learn:

• How to get into the mindset for building a successful crowdfunding campaign.

• The difference between crowdfunding for products, for creative projects, and for service / nonprofit projects.

• What crowdfunding forum is right for your project and goals.

• How to make a realistic plan for success including timeline, team and media resources.

• A simple formula to help organize your ask.

• How to use social media to reach a new audience.

• Do’s and Don’ts for after your project is funded.
