Intracoastal Fishing 101

Ranger Richard will teach the basics of fishing in the saltmarsh area by the Intracoastal Waterway. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment, bait and supplies but this is not mandatory. Participants must meet fishing license requirements prior to attending the program.
Reservations are not required but notification of participation is requested. This event is free with regular park entrance of $5 per carload of two to eight people, $4 for one person in a car and $2 per pedestrian or bicyclist to be paid the day of the event.

Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area and North Peninsula State Parks are beautiful beachside parks located on a barrier island and nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The beach is the most popular feature of these parks, where visitors can enjoy swimming, camping, fishing, hiking, sunbathing and beachcombing are just some of the fun activities that are offered at these quiet and serene locations.
Amenities include: Fishing, crabbing, birding, picnicing, beach access, a nature trail, special events and volunteer opportunities.
