Textbook: Japanese for Busy People, Vol. 2, Revised 3rd Edition, lessons 6-10. Teaching materials and lesson content covered may vary slightly from class to class. Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks.
Intermediate II is for students who have completed the Intermediate I with the JSNC or for students with previous Japanese language experience. It is required that you are able to read and write both hiragana and katakana. Some knowledge of kanji is expected for this level. (50 - 60 kanji) Students need to understand grammatical items such as "masu-form", "dictionary-form" and "nai-form".If you need assistance to gauge your language ability, please contact the Japan Society Language Class Coordinator.If you are not already a member of the Japan Society of Northern California, please read about our individual membership and receive a class discount.
