IPE was founded in 1969 by Haki Madhubuti (Don L. Lee), Safisha Madhubuti (Carol Lee), and Soyini Walton, three friends with a vision. IPE is a pioneer in providing a quality African-centered education for kindergarten to eighth grade students. Today, IPE operates three key programs: New Concept School, Nsoroma Unity After-School Program, and Zaidi/Camp Cul-Tech Summer Camp. Using current technology, the arts and models of educational excellence, IPE inspires in our children a passion for learning.
