Jazz House Kids 7th Annual Benefit
Inside the Jazz Note®
An evening of music + conversation
with host Christian McBride
and contemporary jazz giants Al Jarreau + David Sanborn
GRAMMY award-winning bassist and one of the most prolific jazz composers of our time Christian McBride returns to host our 7th Annual Inside the Jazz Note! McBride reunites his friends, contemporary jazz giants Al Jarreau and David Sanborn for an unforgettable evening of conversation and music.
With seven GRAMMY Awards and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, Al Jarreau’s unique vocal style has made him one of the most exciting and critically-acclaimed performers of our time. Jarreau and McBride are joined on stage with saxophonist David Sanborn, who in his celebrated 3 ½ decade career, has released 24 albums, won six GRAMMY Awards, and has had eight Gold albums and one Platinum album. Sanborn and Jarreau famously collaborated on Sanborn’s 1986 release Since I Fell for You, which spent 63 weeks on the Billboard charts.
The evening also features the award-winning Jazz House Big Band directed by Julius Tolentino.
All proceeds benefit Jazz House Kids music education and student assistance programs throughout the year.
