The German Federal Ministry for the Environment invites you to a workshop on innovative market-based business models for solar PV to be held at the Intersolar North America Conference on July 10th. The workshop will highlight current practice and thinking on business models for solar PV in Germany and the US. During the workshop the following questions will be answered:
- What business models for PV are promising, as PV is moving toward grid parity?
- What are lessons that can be learnt from business models for PV in the US and German markets?
Financial and market experts from the Rocky Mountain Institute, Capital Wiser, DWR eco, Prognos and First Energy Finance will speak. The workshop is free of charge and will allow for ample discussion among participants and the speakers.

German Federal Ministry for the Environment
The Federal Environment Ministry was established in 1986 and is responsible for the environmental policy of the German government. The ministry is primarily concerned with climate policy, conserving the diversity of fauna and flora, efficient use of resources and energy as well as protecting people’s health from environmental pressures.
The Federal Ministry is also very active when it comes to international environmental policy. Two of the greatest global challenges to be overcome are climate change and the loss of biological diversity.
