Information Session: Startup Incubator to Secure Federal Funding for Innovation Research
Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute is pleased to invite you to an information session by Transcendent Endeavors on the topic of successfully tapping the SBIR/STTR funding program, and to provide a sneak peek at the new Transcendent Lab incubator. SBIR/STTR is a federally funded R&D program for early-stage technology ventures, setting aside $2.3 billion annually at agencies such as the NIH and DoD, and providing up to $1.7 million per project of non-dilutive capital for companies to establish technical feasibility and achieve commercial viability. Transcendent is the top SBIR award winner in NYC, having won over a dozen awards totaling more than $20 million in funding. The team from Transcendent will be on-site to provide insight into its successful track record of taking a conceptual vision to a commercially viable product, and answer questions about the upcoming incubator class that's focused on mission-driven startups in the fields of healthcare, education, and social service. Eligible teams from the NYU community are encouraged to learn more about the application process for the Winter 2013 Class and consider tapping the highly sought-after
SBIR/STTR resource. Bring your startup ideas, and we look forward to seeing you.
