Event Details

Its the last thing we want to think about but would you know what to do if your infant suddenly stopped breathing or had a total airway obstruction? Knowing and practicing the steps of Infant CPR and choke saving will not only give you peace of mind but also prepare you to administer life saving skills. The American Heart Association Family & Friends (™) Infant CPR class will teach you how to perform CPR and how to help an infant who is choking.

An Infant CPR class is perfect for expectant parents, grandparents, other family members, friends and anyone who wants to learn Infant CPR but does not need a CPR certification. Each class is led by an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor and allows plenty of time for you to practice CPR and choke saving skills on specially designed infant mannikins. We will also discuss choking prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep Guidelines.

This two hour class can accommodate up to five couples. Due to the sensitive nature of the material it is suggested that other arrangements be made for child care.
