Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 7:00 PM (EDT)
This spring we are bringing you a smorgasbord of good films, a feast of thought-provoking cinema, with a line-up that is finger-licking good. The 2013 Spring Film Series will present the latest and greatest of food-centric film.
High cuisine with humble beginnings
Concluding our Spring Series on April 24 is EATING ALABAMA.
A story about why food matters
“In search of a simpler life, a young couple returns home to Alabama where they set out to eat the way their grandparents did – locally and seasonally. But as they navigate the agro-industrial gastronomical complex, they soon realize that nearly everything about the food system has changed since farmers once populated their family histories. A thoughtful and often funny essay on community, the South and sustainability, “Eating Alabama” is a story about why food matters.”

But the Spring Series doesn’t stop at just a good movie. With food it’s all about the pairings, so we are pairing each film in the Series with a great, local restaurant or chef. Join us for food, drinks and a movie...all under $25. This is a 21 and over event.
Duos Mobile will be serving an assortment of farm to table food items inspired by this film.
Doors open at 6:30pm.
