Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal reported that on average, over 200 job seekers apply for each of the best jobs in sport. Additionally, while over 94% of individuals trying to break into the sports industry rely on a cover letter and resume to land a job, only 7% of individuals are actually hired that way. In fact, individuals working in the sports industry generally networked their way into their jobs. This conference is an opportunity for you to learn from and network with the Indianapolis area’s top professionals from college, professional and corporate sports. Representatives from local organizations and teams will be on hand to teach you what you need to know to start a career in the commercial sports industry.
REGISTRATION: The cost for this Conference is $125.00. Registration deadline is FEBRUARY 27TH. Your registration includes conference admission, luncheon, reduced parking fee and admission to the NCAA Hall of Champions, a great interactive college sports musuem you can visit at any time during the conference. Faculty/Staff bringing 5 or more registered students will receive a complementary registration. Contact email@example.com to confirm.
REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be granted after February 27th. If you request a refund prior to that date, a nonrefundable registration fee of $15.00 will be deducted.
PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS/TEAMS (subject to change): Butler University Athletics, IUPUI Athletics, Horizon League, NCAA, Indiana Ice, Indianapolis Indians, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Tornados, Black Coaches and Administrators, Indiana Sports Corporation, Adidas, Exclusive Sports Group, Sunrise Sports Marketing, Lucas Oil Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse. Bring your resumes, some of these organizations/teams will be hiring.
DRESS: Business suit.
PARKING: White River State Park underground garage between the JW Marriott Hotel and NCAA on West Washington St. You will receive a reduced parking rate voucher at check in.
