Interested in feeding cattle under roof? Attend the Indiana Indoor Cattle Feeding Facility Meeting and discover:
- Why feeding cattle indoors has become one of the most viable farm diversification strategies.
- How finishing beef under roof is creating business growth opportunities for the next generation of Indiana’s producers.
- Why indoor cattle feeding will be the key to environmentally and financially sustainable animal agriculture for years to come.
Our featured speakers have over 70 years of combined experience in the beef industry.
- Alfredo DiCostanzo has been with the University of Minnesota Extension Service for more than 20 years. His programs focus on researching, developing and disseminating strategic nutrition and management interventions that enhance beef cattle production and economic efficiency.
- Dr. Ron Lemenager joined the Department of Animal Sciences at Purdue in 1977 with responsibilities in beef cattle research, teaching and extension focused on nutrition, nutrition x reproduction interaction, management, and animal handling. He is a fourth generation beef producer and, together with two sons, has a cow heard and forage operation located in Tippecanoe and Warren Counties.
- Born and reared in a farming community in Indiana, Sam grew up on a family farm with a 20-sow farrow-to-finish hog operation. Along with his father and two brothers, they took care of all the chores and daily activities. Today, Sam serves as a representative for Summit Livestock Facilities, where his knowledge of agribusiness and animal science is a valuable resource to the beef and dairy producers he serves.
