As you walk into the class, you’ll be greeted with hot milk chai.
We begin the class with Paneer Makhni - paneer (Indian cheese) cooked in a tomato and onion based sauce that we will prepare from scratch using fresh ingredients, spices, and herbs. The sauce base is very versatile and I will explain how else you can use it.
A couple dishes pair really well with Paneer Makhni - a rice based dish or hand-made flat breads. We will make a Vegetable Biryani - aged Basmati rice cooked with fresh mixed vegetables, herbs, and spices to perfection (nothing mushy here!!)
Lastly, we’ll complete this perfect dinner with a Badam Kulfi or almond ice cream. Again, you’ll learn to make this ice cream from scratch using fresh and safe ingredients.
NOTE: this is a hands-on cooking class, you'll prep, cook, and eat during the class. You'll have an opportunity not only to learn some great recipes, but also good kitchen skills and practices. I prepare nothing ahead of time, we do everything during the class :) All of the ingredients will be fresh, nothing canned or preserved is allowed in my kitchen.
NOTE: this class doesn't have an appetizer, please eat a snack before coming in.
