Indian Rock - Clean-Up - Day Two
Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PDT)
Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time to play a major role in helping to clean-up Indian Rock.
Many of us have climbed at Indian Rock for a number of years, some decades, some of us even climbed outdoors for the first time at Indian Rock. Whatever your connection to Indian Rock is, we are very excited to work with you to take on some needed projects at our favorite local crag.
Day 1 - October 20
Volunteers are needed to help clear out the old top soil from the lower level/The Pit. Completion of this project will help to alleviate the larger run-off and dust issues that have been existing. If time allows, we will also work on cleaning up the rock retaining walls in the lower half of The Pit near Pegboard and The Bubble.
Clearing out of the old top soil will allow us to put down new wood chips on Day 2.
Day 2 - October 26
Volunteers are needed to help with moving wood chips down into the lower level of Indian Rock, cleaning up broken glass and trash from the entire park, and helping with general cleaning up and maintenance around the entire park.
Food - Big "thank you" to Flux Coffee and Extreme Pizza for sponsoring the event and providing volunteers with some awesome caffeinated beverages and the most extreme of pizzas!
