As you walk into the class, you’ll be greeted with hot chai.
We'll begin this class by making Masala Vadai, a wonderful snack and appetizer made from yellow split peas. This fried goodness is crunchy, flavorful, and very soul-satisfying.
Once we're energized from the Masala Vadais, we'll prepare our Daal Makhni - a thick, creamy lentil dish. This is a dish you'll find yourself returning to, especially since the recipes is very approachable, and leftever is even better! I'll teach you a nice trick to making this dish in a healthier manner than restaurants. This makhni goes well with rice or flat breads. We'll pair this wonderful dish with an Indian classic, Palak Paneer - paneer (Indian cheese) and spinach cooked with various spices to perfection. These two terrific main courses will be served with plain rice on the side.
You will learn to prepare all three dishes from scratch using fresh spices and ingredients. Nothing preserved or full of chemicals are allowed in my kitchen.
Not only will you learn how to make three wonderful dishes in this class, but also eat what you cook, and take home these proven recipes.You don't need to bring anything, but your enthusiasm to learn and an appetite.
