Incorporating Mindfulness into Practice: A Training for Clinicians
Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (EST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
This day-long workshop is designed for clinicians and graduate students in the fields of psychology, social work, substance abuse counseling, and medicine who wish to learn the practical application of mindfulness skills. We will practice basic breathing and mindfulness techniques and will discuss ways to introduce this practice to your clients. There will be opportunity for clinical consultation, so please come prepared with case examples. This workshop will also include discussions about the role of mindfulness in promoting self-care for providers and techniques to prevent compassion fatigue and burn out.
For additional information about this training, please contact Dr. Jenifer Talley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
