In an industry where technology is steadily progressing, it can be hard to understand the importance of how to conduct yourself in a studio environment. Whether in a commercial studio or a standard home digital audio workstation, one of the most important components to consider is if the workspace has a great balance in professionalism and is an aspiring environment. This "In The Studio" will focus on studio etiquette and knowing when, how, where, and why certain decisions are important and beneficial to the overall success of your project.
Our featured "In The Studio" guest speaker Adam Hill (Producer, Engineer, and Musician) will discuss emotion, feeling, technicality, privacy, roles, and overall decision making in order to create great competitive music.
Born in Nashville but raised in Memphis, Adam Hill is a producer/recording engineer who has learned from and worked with the best at Ardent Studios for over a decade. Whether assisting John Hampton for The White Stripes, remixing Big Star for the new documentary "Big Star:Nothing Can Hurt Me", or recording and mixing outstanding new talent like The Dirty Streets, he's carrying on the tradition of world class recordings that have made Memphis world famous.
