6:30-7:00pm Speed Writing: Each BWC workshop starts with a short writing exercise and an opportunity to meet and share with your fellow writers.
7:00-8:30pm Activating Scenes: The group will discuss summary and description vs activation of a scene through the lenses of popular books. Bring works in progress and get help/ feedback. All genres welcome.
Charlie Vázquez, Director of the Bronx Writers Center, writer and freelance editor, will lead this workshop.
All welcome! Bring a notebook, a pen and your creative energy.
The Bronx Writers Center supports and develops the appetite for writing and reading in the Bronx. The BWC searches for and promotes new voices and audiences and engages the community in literary and literacy programs.
