An evening with noted designers to support Art for Recovery at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, a place where anyone dealing with cancer can find community and healing through artistic expression. The shoes represent the altered lives of those living with cancer and have been transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces of art to be auctioned. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and an auction.

Art for Recovery provides a safe environment where adults coping with cancer can express the intense feelings that arise in life-threatening illnesses through creative experiences. Established in 1988 out of a deep conviction that patients can better heal, cope with disease and improve quality of life by engaging in the expressive arts.
The fair market value of each ticket is $25. All contributions exceeding this value are tax-deductible. All sales are final. The UCSF Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public benefit organization established to promote the welfare of the University of California, San Francisco campus. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. A modest portion of gifts and income from them is used to defray costs of raising and administering these funds.
