The In Our Own Voice presentation is ones personal journey of recovery from mental illness. The presentation includes a video, personal testimony and discussion aiming to enrich the participants' understanding of how people with these serious brain disorders cope with their symptoms and lead productive lives with hope, meaning and dignity. The presenter will share their Dark Days, Acceptance, Treatment, Copings Skills and Successes, Hopes and Dreams. In Our Own Voice is a NAMI NH's recovery education presentation given by trained presenters who themselves live with the challenge of their diagnosis. It gives an audience member perspective of one’s journey while dispelling the stigma of mental illness.
