We are currently looking for a group of highly energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing men and women to volunteer at our event in Orland Park, IL on September 7th, 2013.
There will be three five-hour shifts on race day and you are allowed to select more than one shift if you please. The shifts are:
On race day, you will receive a Pretty Muddy Volunteer t-shirt that you may keep.
This year we will also be offering $20 off race registration for any volunteer over the age of 15 that would like to work but also participate in the run. These volunteers MUST work the 1st shift (5:30am to 10:30am). Once they are finished with their shift, they may pick up their registration packet and run in any wave after 11:00. A discount code will be distributed to them before they register.

Pretty Muddy is a 5k adventurous obstacle course mud run for any woman
who wants to get outside, spend time with friends and have fun.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
You can arrive as early and stay as late as you want. We turn on the lights at 6:30 a.m. and clean up all the mud at 6:00 p.m.
This is meant to be a fun, relaxing day, so plan on arriving at least an hour before your wave time to park, check in and get ready to get muddy. Waves will run every 15 minutes starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. Check your registration confirmation for your wave time.
As if running through mud wasn’t enough fun, we have a few other things planned to make this an event to remember!
Our sponsor, XSport Fitness will be hosting free Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, WERQ and Cardio Sports Blast classes from 7:45 to 11:30.
DJ Red Line will be pumping out your favorite songs all day long, while 80s cover band The Breakfast Club will hit the stage at 11:30 and will play until 3:30.

Want to go green? Take the Metra to the Hickory Street Station. We’ll be running shuttle busses between the station and Pretty Muddy Farms corresponding with the train schedule.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear whatever you feel comfortable exercising in, as long as you don’t mind it getting dirty.
WHAT TO BRING
A valid ID and a signed copy of your waiver for check in. Download a waiver here.
Change of clothes. Bring a fresh set of comfortable clothes (including shoes) to change into after your wave. Don’t forget to include a plastic bag (to stash your muddy gear), waterproof sunscreen (sunburn and mud are not a good look) and a towel to dry off. There will be plenty of bathrooms on site, showers to rinse off and private changing areas so you can get clean and enjoy the day.
A camera. These are pretty awesome memories you’ll want to remember and share! We’ll also have professional photographers throughout the course capturing all the dirty details.
Cash and credit cards. We’ll have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase throughout the day, along with some pretty awesome gear.
Friends and family! We’ll have lots of places for them to cheer you on, take photos and add to the day’s excitement.
And here’s what to leave at home:
Jewelry. We’d hate for your priceless family tiara to get lost in the mud!
Pets. Really, who wants to drive home with a wet, muddy dog?

The purpose of In Her Shoes Foundation (a 501(c) 3 not for profit) is to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together, to share ideas, support and inspire the development and maintenance of a healthy and positive lifestyle; Women come together to share collective wisdom through personal stories, and celebrate what it means to be a woman in today’s society. Participants will get inspired, get connected, get educated and get supported by other women. The monthly meetings include group discussion, reflection, and activities around ideas of self-care, professional development, self- improvement, leadership, philanthropy and empowerment.
