6:30 - Free Concert by the Richie Lawrence and The Yolos at the Corin Courtyard
The Corin Courtyard is located directly beside the Mondavi Box Office, food and drink available for purchase.
Richie Lawrence and The Yolos’ latest album, Water, consists of songs that are deceptively simple, composed of rippling melodies full of shadow and light, lyrics brimming with poetry and plainspoken truth and an invitation to join in a dance of love, laughter and compassion. Their complexity delights with the first listen, slowly unfolding to reveal an unexpected intensity of color and flavor as they linger on the emotional palette.
8:00: Ira Glass Performance Begins
Host of NPR darling This American Life, Ira Glass was named Best Radio Host in America by Time Magazine in 2001. Glass’s quirky, unassuming and impossible not-to-like persona translate to the stage as well as through radio waves as evidenced by his 2010 sellout show at the Mondavi Center and in houses across the country. From his early experiences as a tape cutter, newscast writer and desk assistant to his current roles as editor and producer, Glass was lauded by playwright David Mamet as finding “drama and humor in the most pedestrian of places.”
