Description

Improv for the Actors

Discover life beyond the script. From deepened character work to heightened physical awareness, increased connectivity to your scene partners and an improved ability to think on your feet, the fundamentals of improvisation will take your acting chops to the next level. Designed exclusively for trained and working actors, this 3-week course combines our traditional levels 101 and 201 into an immersive, hands-on study exploring the core principles of improv. Upon successful completion of IFA, students may enroll in level 301 of our Improv Program. If you want to take creative risks in a supportive environment, be your own playwright, and live in the moment on stage all while having a ridiculous amount of fun, this is the class for you.

Prerequisites: completion of a college-level theater degree or at least 1 year working as a professional (paid) actor. Those with equivalent training/experience may send resumes to comedyschool@improvboston.com to request enrollment permission.

$99.00 per person. Maximum of 14 participants per class.
