Join us at The Bubble Lounge in Tribeca for an opportunity to meet other like-minded, creative change-makers at Impact Social: Summerfest 2014. Okay, so it's not a festival per se. It's more like a happy hour, plus.
Veterans of last year's Impact Socials know that we've traditionally organized these...guerrilla style. Each month we'd pick a cool spot, invite the social change film and media community to join us, and then with little to no warning descend upon some poor, hapless bartender working a happy hour shift.
But this year, special Impact Social events hosted at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and Impact Distribution Lab have made us want to take our game up a notch. What does game look like? Well, we've secured a room all to ourselves. And though drinks are still on you (not us), we are providing light hors d'oeuvres (not dinner, that's still on you, too). Finally, we're shifting from monthly to quarterly events so we can host a proper party. That means you won't want to miss this shindig or else you'll have to wait until October to get your free crispy crab cakes on.
Meet us there early and enjoy the last half hour of The Bubble Lounge's happy hour [4:00pm - 6:30pm] featuring $5 plates and $4 wines. 1 at Franklin S or A, C, E at Canal St.
We look forward to seeing you!

#ImpactSocials are networking events created to bring together outreach, engagement and innovation strategists; film and media makers; broadcasters and distributors; transmedia producers and digital gurus; social justice activists and advocates; and progressive cultural organizers. The goal is to create connections across disciplines, spark collaborations, seed ideas and inspire each other's creativity -- and just maybe have a little fun while doing it.
