Are you ready for the major changes that CIR may bring in 2015?
We will explore how CIR will change the way you recruit and retain H-1b workers and the specific implications for the staffing model. If you have ever hired an H-1b worker who was looking for EB2 sponsorship or hired an H-1b worker because an end user did not sponsor, this session is for you.
The rules of PERM continue to change. Is your PERM program staying abreast of all the changes? Is your PERM program making the most out of your advertising dollars? Are your employees happy with your PERM program? These questions and more will be explored.
H-1b sponsorship is filled with landmines including Neufeld, work-site changes, benching, 221g notices, end client letters, and the cap. We will explore these issues in the context of a staffing model.
Is your company in compliance? A review of current trends with: eVerify programs, I-9 investigations, LCA audits, document retention, and FDNS site investigations.
When & Where
Hammond Law Group LLC
Hammond Law Group, LLC is a full-service immigration law firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We have a national practice, serving clients located throughout the United States. We began operations in 1991 and since that time have provided representation to individuals and corporations, handling both family and business based types of cases.
In the over twenty years we have been in business, we have developed a reputation as a fun and caring place to work where integrity still counts. These character traits reflect in our client relationships as evidenced by our honest and transparent billing procedures and our continued quest to make you, the client, achieve the obvious goal; a successful result, and the not-so-obvious but, often equally important goal; performing better for your customers, employees and supervisors. We have come to think of many of our clients as friends and we revel in your successes and feel the pain of your failures.
Our goal is to be a law firm that does not look or act much like a typical law firm. If you are seeking a stodgy, serious, old-fashioned law firm, then you are at the wrong place. We are familiar with suits and ties but, we don’t wear them often. If you attend one of our educational seminars, we expect you to laugh as much as learn. The firm ultimately seeks to partner with you, our clients in a long-term relationship; achieve positive immigration results, stay out of trouble, and make us all money.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about us. We welcome the opportunity to have you as a client.
IT & Engineering Solutions
The firm has developed an expertise in the handling of cases for Information Technology (IT) companies and information technology workers alike. The firm handles in excess of 1000 cases per year for IT workers. Our clients range from a mega-size Indian based consulting company that is publicly traded to a start-up Mom and Pop shop working out of an extra bedroom, and all sizes in between.
We educate ourselves about your industry by attending trade shows and annual conferences sponsored by organizations including Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), TechServe Alliance (formerly NACCB) and the American Staffing Association (ASA).
We help create strategies for your organization by asking questions and partnering with you. Over the past twenty years, we have created numerous unique initiatives for our clients that include, LCA libraries, roving employee plans, LCA PAF’s, real world recruitment that actually benefits your organization and yet still complies with the PERM requirements and supports your employee’s residency goals, and most recently, plans for establishing conformity with the Neufeld policy memorandum.
We provide educational and learning opportunities for our clients through several initiatives. The firm publishes, Views on Business Immigration, which provides up to date items of importance in a unique style. The firm also has an electronic newsletter, the Business Immigration Monthly that provides an easy style (copied from the middle column of the WSJ), to be kept abreast of issues that may impact your business. Each year, the firm provides in-house as well as public seminars for its IT clients. Events in the past five years have been held in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix. Future events are being planned for Chicago, Austin, New York City/New Jersey and Atlanta.
We advocate on behalf of our clients. In January of 2010, when the USCIS announced the Neufeld policy, which threatened the IT staffing industry, the firm made several trips to Washington DC to appear in person in front of USCIS personnel to advocate changes in its application of the policy.
We process filings on behalf of clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We provide custom, web-based tools that allow both management and the foreign national professionals to seamlessly interact with our firm and each other. We attempt to remove the administrative burden from your human resources professionals and recruiters.
