Imagine, the second feature film by Director Andrzej Jakimowski, tells the story of Ian, an unorthodox teacher of the blind who takes a job at a world-renowned clinic for blind children and young adults in Lisbon. Ian, supposedly blind himself, encourages the children to toss their canes and try new techniques to explore their surroundings. Though Ian wins the trust of his patients, his methods are not without risk.
Reviewer Alan Pavelin called Imagine “a delightfully poetic film.”
The film has received numerous awards including Best Director and Audience Winner awards at the 28th Annual Warsaw Film Festival in 2012.
