The City of Cupertino invites you to participate in a Community Workshop to help plan the future of the Cupertino Civic Center.
Purpose of this workshop is to elicit the community’s input on the different master plan options and program elements for the Cupertino Civic Center. These include alternatives for parking, a possible teen center, a New City Hall, a possible Sheriff’s Office, outdoor recreation improvements, and more. Your input is critical in helping shape and assess the alternatives and options that are being developed.
Brief background: The City of Cupertino has engaged Perkins+Will, a global architecture and design firm, to assist the City in developing a Civic Center Master Plan with parking options. The Civic Center District encompasses the area that includes City Hall, Community Hall, the Library, and the Library field. In 2012 the City Council selected the Master Plan that focused on "Civic Life". The intent is to ensure that the Civic Center area becomes a multifaceted place of government, culture, education, recreation, and celebration that reflects the unique qualities and characteristics of the Cupertino community.
Results from this workshop will be summarized and shared with the City Council later this summer to assist them in selecting the preferred Civic Center Master Plan option.
All Cupertino community members are invited at both these events.
We look forward to your participation!
A second community meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 24th to review the selected option, and to collect additional input. To RSVP for the September 24th meeting, please click here.
Your input is also invited via our online public engagement site Imagine Cupertino Civic Center.
We sincerely hope you can participate at both the events and the online feedback platform!
