Description

Teachers new to the Powerspeak program learn all basic aspects of program design and functionality and are prepared to start using the online language learning program with their students. Strategies and tools to monitor and support student learning are shared. Teachers plan their student orientation.

As result of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain Powerspeak structure and activity types
  2. Complete student use plan
  3. Locate reports and the grade book to monitor student usage and performance
  4. Modify assignments to support student learning
  5. Grade and provide feedback to written and verbal assignments
  6. Use messaging to communicate with students
  7. Plan a student orientation
  8. Access the MIL Teacher resources site
  9. Join the MIL online world language teacher community (optional)
