Description

First-time users of Apex Learning digital curriculum will receive a curriculum overview and learn the capabilities of the learning management as it is utilized within the Desire2Learn content management system. Attendees will learn the basic functionality features and learn how to use the Apex Learning content in a variety of ways, such as Credit Recovery, Content Recovery, Original Credit, Advanced Placement, Blended Learning and Supplemental.

As result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify appropriate student placement in course pathways.

  • Navigate the course outline and use the outline manager to manage course content.

  • Create additional activity assignments.

  • Locate teacher and student resources.

  • Understand summary level Grade Book functionality (GTD, QOW, Overal/ %, Final Grade).

  • Understand unit level Grade Book functionality (Reset, Permit Progress, Due Dates, Exclude, Excuse, Proctoring, and Unit Test out).

  • Access and interpret student data from the Homepage, Reports, and the Grade Book.

  • Discuss best practices for classroom management, academic integrity, student orientation, and monitoring student progress.
