Event Details

iLEAD Summit is an annual congregation of brilliant and enterprising young people from across the continent seeking to work towards raising awareness to the need to promoting youth employment through entrepreneurship and innovation, build commitments for action, and empower those commitments with knowledge, tools and technology. iLEAD’13 will be the first of an annual congregation of young brains.

We wish to awaken the “African Cheetah” and spur the spirit of enterprise and leadership while creating a network of likeminded individuals with strong determination to work towards fulfilling the dream of a better and self-reliant African.

iLEAD Youth Summit aims to provide a platform to young people to channelize their innovative ideas that address issues of innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership and youth development. We are strongly concerned about the ideas which have an impact at the grass root level and which also provide a feasible solution to our existing challenges.

We vouch to bring together maximum people, connect youth organizations, support social ventures and foster a positive socio-economic change by ensuring individual development.

Our aim is to work with national and international organizations for implementation of resolutions.

Finally, iLEAD aims to create an organization that will harness the collective power of the Africa youth – a fraternity.

International Youth Council Ghana

In 2012, the International Youth Council (IYC) Ghana Chapter was founded by three Ghanaian youth who shared a vision of providing selfless leadership and service to young people in the country and across the world. IYC Ghana is primarily dedicated to giving young people in Ghana both a collective voice and a mechanism to support global sustainable development.

Now through their effort, many other Ghanaian youth who share the same vision have joined IYC Ghana and taken up various roles and responsibilities. Membership and leadership positions in IYC Ghana is open to all young people in Ghana so far as the person shows interest and demonstrates the ability to take up such role. IYC Ghana draws inspiration from its global body International Youth Council (IYC).

The International Youth Council (IYC) was founded in 2007 at the 4th Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations. The IYC is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization dedicated to giving young people across the world both collective voice and a mechanism to support global sustainable development. IYC has spread to many countries and communities in the form of chapters.
