PANEL

U.S. Securities Laws

OLYMPIC BALLROOM - 4th FLOOR

In depth knowledge of U.S. securities laws is another essential part of the EB-5 repertoire.  The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is aware of, and monitors, EB-5 investment offerings.  State securities regulators also have an oversight role in many U.S. states.  This panel will review issues such as: payment of "finders fees," Reg. D and Reg. S exemptions, and more.  After the panel, you will have an understanding of where EB-5 and U.S. securities law intersect, how to indentify risky practices, and what you need to know to ensure your business operations are in compliance.

EB-5 Job Creation Methodologies

OLYMPIC BALLROOM - 4th FLOOR

Proper use of econometric methodologies, that measure the job creating impact of EB-5 capital investment projects, is essential to the fulfillment of the EB-5 Regional Center Program's intent...JOB CREATION.  This panel of economists will each discuss their econometric model of expertise, and how/why it is in compliance with USCIS requirements that these methodologies are "transparent and reproducible." Here is your opportunity to learn from a panel of active, expert practioners about another important area of expertise necessary for successful utilization of the Program.  IIUSA has also invited a couple of government economists to speak on the panel.  If/when they accept the invitation, it will be noted below.

PANEL

Understanding China and EB-5

OLYMPIC BALLROOM - 4th FLOOR

For the past several years, China has been the largest market for EB-5 capital, a trend that will last into the foreseeable future.  Many EB-5 Regional Centers have setup offices in China to maintain a consistent presence in the country. Understanding how to promote your project in the country, while in compliance with China laws, regulations, and social customs is a MUST for anyone who wants to be successful in raising capital there.  This panel of experts on EB-5 in China will educate you on what you need to know.  A panel of such international prestige and expertise is a rare occurance...and not something to miss.

  • Wingsee Auyeung, PKF China
  • Kelvin Ma, EB-5 Attorney, licensed to practice in U.S. and China
